Anglesey really does have something for everyone, and whatever your holiday requirements, Cerrig y Barcud is an ideal base for your holiday. Despite their peaceful setting, our cottages are only 10 minutes from the Britannia Bridge, so that the attractions of both Anglesey and North Wales are within easy reach.
Anglesey is a place like no other, with unparalleled beauty. 125 miles of coastline provide long stretches of sandy beaches ideal for families and water sports, together with dunes, secluded coves and bays for long walks. Anglesey boasts attractions for everyone, from working windmills to dark Victorian prisons; castles to zoos.
A rich culture and heritage arising from 9,000 years of human habitation can be experienced at a variety of heritage sites today. Edward I's "iron ring" of castles, including Beaumaris Castle, are nearby, together with the superb historic parks and gardens including the magnificent Plas Newydd, only 5 minutes from our cottages.
Cerrig y Barcud is ideally located between two of the island’s most popular family attractions – Foel Farm Park and the Anglesey Sea Zoo. The cottages are only minutes from stretches of golden beaches set against a perfect backdrop provided by the mountains of Snowdonia.
If you prefer more energetic pursuits, then take comfort in the fact that between the air, sea, lakes, hill and beaches, there is hardly a sport that Anglesey cannot offer. At Cerrig y Barcud, we are more than happy to help you in making arrangements for any activities you may wish to enjoy during your time on the island.
Meanwhile, walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and lovers of nature will find Cerrig y Barcud well placed to enjoy their favourite pursuits. Those just looking for a restful holiday will have the choice of relaxing in a beautiful and peaceful setting or exploring the Isle of Anglesey and North Wales, including Snowdonia, at their leisure.
